In this exhibition, curated by João Pinharanda, there are more than 450 works, made up of photographs, collages, and clippings with personal inscriptions, referring to brief stories, quotes, and comments.
According to the artist, this diary has become the task of a lifetime. By exposing his memory, he cross-references his days and the days of the world. On simple A4 sheets of paper, the artist numbers the days/years that go by; he pastes polaroids (one or two per page) and some clippings onto them, and handwrites or stamps some phrases (his own or quoted without reference) in the languages he knows best (English, German, Portuguese, French). Here you can see the intersection of themes that we are already used to finding in his work, such as the connection between time and space and the representation of private and public memory, more precisely family, personal, historical, political and cultural memories.
