Public Open Call till March 8th
Selected residents will be announced on March 11th by email.
Arrival to Barcelona could be between April 2nd to April 3th , being the residents presentation and the first workshop organized on April 4th .
The residence in Barcelona includes:
Working space with access of all the technical equipment of Espronceda (gamer laptops, VR headsets, projectors – included holographic – haptic material, 3d sound system, LED Tvss, cameras and more).
Accommodation in Espronceda’s artist houses (offered only to international artists (4)
Participation in workshops organized by experts in AI, 3D sound, Immersive experiences, etc.
Organized visits to creative spaces and key Art centers in Barcelona (CCCB, Design HUB, Macba, Hangar, IDEAL, Mutek Festival ).
Participation in the final exhibition.
The residence doesn’t include:
Travel cost. We can help you to get a grant for it from international mobility programs.
Stipends or fees.
Insurances.
Workshops by experts are included to all the participants. Topics:
Creation of creative community and team building
Circular economy in creative and cultural projects
Creative and social impact storytelling
Advanced technologies: haptics and holographic projections
Creative artificial intelligence
METHODOLOGY of the RESIDENCE
Topic of 2024: GAIA’S IMMENSITY.
Innovative visions about Sustainability, Ecology and SDG. The topic is based in GAIA Hypothesis:

Projects must be new productions/ ideas.
Project will be created in teams, we encourage the creation of teams: 2/3 members who will be negotiating and creating a project together, from concept to prototype.
– First week: Team building workshop/ initial tech workshops/ creation of teams.
– Second week: tech workshops / institutional visits
– Third week: working in the team projects with IMMENSIVA mentors and curators.
– Four week: Online Pitch to the international jury / prototypes will be shown in Espronceda exhibition room
FLEXIBILITY of the RESIDENCE:
The residence is in person being in Barcelona, but can be flexible with the participants’ agenda, with a minimum stay of 2 weeks in Barcelona. Recommended 1st week (creation of teams) and final week (implementation of the projects).
