Descripción de la Exposición
Olga de Amaral (b. 1932, Bogotá) opens her first solo show in London for almost a decade, following the artist's inaugural exhibition with Lisson Gallery in New York in 2021. The presentation will include several significant, large-scale works including Cesta lunar (1991/2017) and Strata XV (2009), incorporating materials such as Japanese paper, gesso, linen, gold leaf and platinum. The exhibition also features a cascading installation of layered polyurethane entitled Luz Blanca (1969/1992/2010) from the historic series, Luz (Light) which featured in Amaral’s major itinerant retrospective across the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Cranbrook Art Museum, Michigan (2021-2022).
