Ocean .

Ocean . Océano is the first online exhibition at the gallery curated by @arte_aesthete from Melbourne, Australia; the social network will act as platform presenting artists from around the globe creating an aesthetic discourse between countries.
In a curious dialogue about presence and absence, Ocean . Océano is solely built on the virtual gallery space of Instagram and Facebook. Exposing the continuous discussion of contemporary art: the unnecessary physical space in relation to the dematerialization of objects. It reveals the substitution of reality by the virtual, as well as the importance of the curator´s role in the visual poetry.
Today, more than ever a new way of transferring knowledge and aesthetic discourses is being developed, in a virtual community which has neither centre nor periphery. Thus it is structured as a network; a netted navigation and that can be addressed simultaneously and timelessly.
