Descripción de la Exposición
. Name of the artwork: Meditative Symbiosis.
. Authors: Jean-Danton Laffert and Karin Astudillo
. A brief description:
Bio-electronic installation composed of a container with a plant and sensors inside. The photosynthetic activity of the plant is sensed by the carbon dioxide absorption rate. This information is sent to a computer module, which processes the data to create graphic patterns in real time. These are then projected on the plant surface, influencing its photosynthesis by the light intensity of the figures. The process generates a cycle of constant and mutual dependence: while the plant grows, the digital image evolves from the data supplied, producing a bio-electronic aesthetic that evolves in time.
