Descripción de la Exposición

In Tempo, Cuban-American artist María Elena González explores the translation between the acoustical and the physical. Riffing off of her celebrated "Tree Talk" series, González creates new work in wood and in porcelain that simultaneously function as both sculpture and musical instrument - addressing the inherent sound of the materials and sound as a material for sculpture.
