Descripción de la Exposición
The President of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA), Mathias ARY JAN and the Board members announces that the 30th edition of La Biennale Paris will be held from Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th September at Le Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées (Paris).
Christopher Forbes chose to renew his trust and his commitment to the event and will be president of the « Commission Biennale 2018 » for the second year alongside its other valuable members: Prince Amyn AGA KHAN, Max BLUMBERG, Jacques GARCIA, Christian LANGLOIS-MEURINE, d’Alain Dominique PERRIN, Jean Louis REMILLEUX, Roxana VELASQUEZ, Didier WIRTH, Mathias ARY JAN, Anisabelle BERÈS, Alexis BORDES, Corinne KEVORKIAN, Antony JP MEYER et Benjamin STEINITZ. The « Commission Biennale 2018 » will be in charge of orienting this 30th edition and will select carefully its exhibitors.
To pursue with the edition of 2017, the President of the CNE (Compagnie Nationale des Experts), Frédéric CASTAING and the President of the SFEP (Syndicat Français des Experts Professionnels en Oeuvres d'Arts), Michel MAKET will head the Admission Committee. From 2017, La Biennale Paris Admission Committee has been completely independent in order to guarantee the visitors and the exhibitors the highest level of transparency, trust and quality of the piece of art presented at La Biennale Paris.
La Biennale Paris keeps registering its subscriptions according to its initial schedule and as planned. In March will be held a press conference that will unveiled the exclusivities of this anniversary edition.
On the other hand, the Syndicat National des Antiquaires cares about deepening the projects it initiated in 2017 to favor trust and transparency in the art market. Therefore, it will introduce the first International Summit of the Art Market.
Last but not least, the SNA deplores that the announcement of the creation of a new fair next October led to the diffusion of incorrect and unfounded information regarding La Biennale Paris. That information clearly comes from a poisoning and chocking media operation motivated by the revenge of a former member of the Syndicat revoked in 2014 (decision confirmed by two judgments and one of the Paris Court of Appeal on the 20th June 2017).
The SNA deeply regrets the rumors targeting La Biennale Paris that are false.
She confirms that more than 32 000 people visited its last edition increasing the number of visitors by 8% compared to 2016. Moreover, it indeed resulted in in budget surplus of 300 000 euros reallocated to the associative actions of the SNA and the organization of the 2018’s edition of La Biennale Paris. All these data are freely available upon request.
The Syndicat National des Antiquaires keeps very skeptical regarding the truth of the announcement made by the new opening fair « Sublime » as several of them seem unconfirmed yet.
As a result, the SNA strongly recommend wisdom and judgement in the upcoming months.
