UMA LULIK__ is pleased to invite you for the opening of JUST BELIEVE., a group show presenting works by Elisa Azevedo, Fábio Colaço, Isabel Cordovil and Pedro Henriques at the gallery.
JUST BELIEVE. is an exhibition that focuses on a set of works by four young artists. Any point of contact or coincidence between the works can be considered as circumstantial. The selection of both the artists and their works was a labour of observation, free of preconceptions concerning the final result, that allow for the coexistence of a set of strong lines that confirm the tensions between the works, in our contemporary context.
Positioning this text within the context of the exhibition space, the narrative of JUST BELIEVE. was built taking into consideration each one of the artists. The narrative informs an installation of the show that follows criteria that respond to the lines of force between the works in an...effort to maintain the balance of the group, inviting the visitor to build relationships between the works and to establish more or less autonomous “fields of observation”.
