Descripción de la Exposición
Julio Le Parc (b. 1928 in Mendoza, Argentina, lives in Paris) is one of the most influential artists of the late twentieth century. With his first major institutional solo exhibition in Germany since 1972, the Kunstmuseen Krefeld set out to rediscover the oeuvre of the co-founder of the artist group G.R.A.V. In Haus Lange and a few spaces in the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum, various aspects of visitor participation in his works are presented in an exhibition layout: from kinetic objects to game installations and surveys to labyrinths. At the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum, the show continues with large, expansive light installations, for which Le Parc is internationally renowned. Le Parc’s innovation and political aspirations are evident in the interactivity and experimental nature of his approach.
