Descripción de la Exposición
Born in 1960, attended the Design Course from IADE and worked in advertising for six years before leaving everything and devote himself only to painting. Later attended the NY Art Student’s League in New York and in the 90’s begins exhibiting alone, having started at São Mamede in 2011.
A self-taught artist with clear influences of Basquiat, Oldenburg, Rauscenberg, among others, provides a mix of figuration with an abstract plasticity and excessive layered information that gives the work a lyric and dramatic sense. An exhibition truly captivating and irresistible to discover every single space, word, symbol, face, nude, that are hiding and showing between João Cristóvão paintings.
