Descripción de la Exposición

The French furniture brand challenged Joana Vasconcelos to reinterpret some of its most emblematic pieces, including the iconic Mah Jong sofa. The result is a unique collection, where the artist uses the materials and techniques that characterise her work to grant a sculpture-like dimension to the pieces of Roche Bobois. The collection has been first presented to the public on the occasion of ARCO Lisboa, and is now travelling to Geneva, followed by a presentation in Paris, before crossing the Atlantic to be exhibited and auctioned in December during Art Basel Miami. The auction proceeds will benefit Joana Vasconcelos Foundation to fund the scholarships annually granted to students in the Arts.
