About Jeune Creation and the exhibition, please read carefully To participate in Jeune Création 2012:

1/ File the on-line put form and return by e-mail to: candidaturesjc2012@gmail.com You will receive an email with your file number.

2/ Send your file by regular mail to:

Jeune Création, 24 rue Berthe, 75018 Paris - France.

Please write your file number on the envelope.

This file has to contain:

1. The application form included filled out very clearly with your file number2. 1 typed resume 1 short text about your work.

3. 10 color photographs of your works each photo must be on sheets of A4 paper.

4. 1 DVD, for video-artist and 1 CDROM, for multimedia artist only.

5. An international transfer (or postal mandate or french cheque) for 10 euros made out to «Jeune Création» to cover the cost of selection.

6. Only if you want your file back: 1 pre-stamped self-addressed envelope for the return of your file.

This application must be sent before 1st of March 2012.

Artists living abroad (except if you have a french banking account) must pay the fees and the postage by transfer payment (send us an email to get the IBAN and BIC) or postal mandate addresses to: Jeune Création, 24 rue Berthe 75018 Paris/ FRANCE.

 

 

About Jeune Creation

The exhibition Jeune Creation 2012 will be held at Centquatre in Paris in November 2012. Jeune création is an association of artists run by a board of exhibiting artists who give their time, unpayed, and who are elected during the annual general assembly. A selection comitee composed of selected artists is added to this board.

Those artists constitue the jury for one year. Jeune création exhibits each year in Paris the works of 60 young contemporary artists (less than 45 years old) The fee to each selected artist will be 85 euros (not including the 10 euros). Jeune création publishes a catalogue in which all artists are represented with photos, texts and contact. An issue is given to each artist.

The prix Jeune Création, an award of 1500 euros, is given out by a jury composed of artists, galleries, institutions and art critics...

Each exhibitor takes advantage of a thought-out hanging, comunication around the show, the services of a selling point, and of a follow up of all contacts with persons interested in his/her work. Outside of the exhibition, other events are put together by members of the board if they want to initiate them (talks, exhibitions at Jeune Creation's Gallery, exhibitions in France and abroad, etc...).

Each exhibiting artist can be a member of the board, if elected, and therefore bring into the group his or her ideas and enthusiasm. Jeune Création is what artists want to make of it!
