Descripción de la Exposición ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- 'Imagined Communities' is an exhibition that explores issues around nationalism and the mythologies surrounding national identity. The title of the exhibition is borrowed from the homonymous book by sociologist Benedict Anderson, who advocates that a nation is a community socially constructed. The works on view examine this topic by referring to the iconographic elements (flags, maps, murals, monuments, etc) that help shape a common history and territory.
