Descripción de la Exposición

The show «Imagínate vivir en Suiza y perderte esto» (span. Imagine living in Switzerland and missing out on this) is Sofía Salazar Rosales' first exhibition in a Swiss institution. While the young artist works with a diverse range of materials – including glass beads, paraffin, epoxy, bronze powder, plant seeds, construction paper, copper, pigments, oak wood, iron filings, plaster, and glass aggregate, to name just a few – she foregrounds crafts as a form of aesthetic resistance. Her sculptures and installations are charged with political and sociological meaning, questioning notions of productivity and value. The show by Sofía Salazar Rosales «Imagínate vivir en Suiza y perderte esto» is part of a double exhibition with Majd Abdel Hamid titled «Resonances» at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen.
