The project consists of investigating the social and artistic context of building a virtual alter ego through identity relationships, the use of the filter provided by the network, images, events and so on. We are mere generators of a virtual dynamism that exponentially increases our visibility and social presence on the web: unquestionably a reckless ambition for presence and prominence which leads us to believe that the more 'friends' we have, the better.

 

The project proposes the alternative of linking physical and virtual media, enabling a progression of art to emerge through the cracks between them. We discuss the limits of the ego and how to cross those physical limits and trespass into other parallel realities that simultaneously occur in our lives and affect us in some way. Virtual communication makes it possible to design another background and another ego form.
