Descripción de la Exposición

Frieze New York will Celebrate its Tenth Anniversary with over 65 of the World’s Leading Galleries. Frieze New York 2022 features a selection of over 65 major galleries from 17 countries, including a strong core contingent of New York-based exhibitors representing the best of the city’s arts landscape, including Tanya Bonakdar Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, Jenkins Johnson Gallery, Casey Kaplan, Tina Kim Gallery, David Zwirner and many more. Leading international names also include: Sadie Coles HQ (London), Dastan Gallery (Tehran), Gallery Hyundai (Seoul), kurimanzutto (Mexico City), MadeIn (Shanghai), mor charpentier (Paris), Galerie Eva Presenhuber (Zurich), and Galeria Luisa Strina (São Paolo), amongst others. In addition, Frieze Viewing Room will also debut a new partnership with Vortic, who will use cutting-edge immersive technology to create virtual viewing spaces, which viewers will be able to freely navigate in 3D. -------------------------- Following the successful return of Frieze New York in 2021, this year’s fair brings together leading international galleries with some of the most exciting young spaces. A strong representation of major New York galleries are joined by international participants from 17 countries across the world. This year’s fair will also introduce a new partnership with Vortic. Led for the first time by Christine Messineo (Director, Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze New York), the fair’s tenth edition will feature significant works by today’s most celebrated emerging artists alongside pioneering figures from the 20th and 21st centuries. Vortic: A New 3D Technology for Frieze Viewing Room A dedicated installment of Frieze Viewing Room will debut a new partnership with Vortic, the leading virtual and augmented reality platform for the art world, who will use cutting-edge immersive technology to create virtual viewing spaces across the online platform, available to Frieze New York participating galleries. Using Vortic’s advanced rendering engine to accurately replicate paintings, sculptures, installations and video works, viewers will be able to freely navigate each virtual space in 3D. Leading Galleries from New York and Around the World The 2022 fair features a focused selection of major galleries from across the globe, including a strong core contingent of New York-based exhibitors representing the best of the city’s arts landscape: 303 Gallery, Miguel Abreu Gallery, Tanya Bonakdar Gallery, Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, Jenkins Johnson, Casey Kaplan, Sean Kelly Gallery, Andrew Kreps Gallery, David Lewis, Matthew Marks Gallery, Michael Werner and David Zwirner. Leading international names for 2022 include: Sadie Coles HQ, Dastan Gallery, Goodman Gallery, Gallery Hyundai, kurimanzutto, The Modern Institute, mor charpentier, Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Thaddaeus Ropac, Esther Schipper, Galeria Luisa Strina and White Cube. Frame: Young Spaces and Emerging Talents Dedicated to solo projects by galleries that have been active for 10 years or less, Frame is a critical arena for up and coming gallery programs from around the world. Comprising eleven participating galleries, Frame allows visitors and collectors to see work by artists who may not have previously benefited from a major international platform to show their work. This year Frame is advised by gallerists Olivia Barrett (Château Shatto, Los Angeles) and Sophie Mörner (Company Gallery, New York). Galleries in Frame that will be participating in Frieze New York for the first time include: Lomex (New York), Lubov (New York), Sé (São Paulo). Additional galleries featured in the section include: Capsule Shanghai (Shanghai), Château Shatto (Los Angeles), Company Gallery (New York), Dastan Gallery (Tehran) Hannah Hoffman Gallery (Los Angeles), Instituto de Visión (Bogotá, New York), MadeIn (Shanghai) and Édouard Montassut (Paris).
