Descripción de la Exposición

The group show is the result of dialogical processes between curators Hena Lee and Mirtes Marins de Oliveira, seeking to approach conceptual and formal relations between historical and contemporary performance artists or practices that activate performative notions. The title of the exhibition comes from Letícia Parente's work, Especular (1978), as a narrative introduction to dialogues between artists whose works explore ideas of reification, mirroring of images and actions, and the relationship with the other. Inside this context, the exhibition presents itself as a set of questions provoked by the artists 3Nós3 (group), Ana Mazzei, Charbel-joseph H. Boutros, Geumhyung Jeong, Gustavo Torrezan, Hudinilson Jr, Letícia Parente, Linda Montano, Rafael França and Ricardo Basbaum.
