Descripción de la Exposición

Chilean artist Patricia Dominguez will be visiting the Pizzuti Collection for an insightful artist talk on her work which explores the relationship between culture, humans, and the natural world. Be the first to see her large-scale installation Eres un Princeso, a rich and compelling video which investigates Spanish horses once owned by Colombian drug lords. The work reflects upon the meanings invested in the animals as powerful possessions and remnants of a colonial past. Not only do the horses take on a quasi-mythical status thanks to their associations with a criminal culture, they are celebrated for their otherness as animals that differ due to their gait and style of presentation. The installation will be on view until September 4.
