Descripción de la Exposición

ENCOUNTERS A special exhibition of photographs from the permanent collection of the Southeast Museum of Photography. Photographer Jose Ney traveled through many countries, including his native Cuba, investigating his connection to the land, the people, and the culture. A small collection of his work titled “Los Romanticos Angelos de la Tierra” was exhibited and then acquired by the Southeast Museum of Photography in 1995. In 2018 Ney Mila, Jose Ney’s son, enrolled in the photography program at Daytona State College. Encounters, curated by Ney Mila and on display in the Rachael Raab Gallery, offers an intimate portrait of a photographer and a retelling of this man’s story through the eyes and words of his son. This same September 15 will be available the book of Jose Ney, "Notes for the end of a century", which has recently obtained Honorable Mention by the jury of Moscow International Photo Awards.
