Descripción de la Exposición The Gabarron Foundation, Carriage House Center for the Arts at 149 East 38th St, New York, NY presents 'EL MUNDO DE LOS VIVOS THE REAL WORLD', a solo exhibition of the Cuban artist Ofill Echevarria. An unveiling of Ofill's Moonbeams, large scale oil paintings, as well as a select group of moving pictures. This show will be on view from September 12 to September 29, 2013 and will be celebrated with a closing reception on Thursday September 19, 2013 from 6-9 pm. The closing reception on September 19th sponsored by Centro Cultural Cubano de Nueva York/CCCNY will celebrate the publication of El Mundo de los Vivos | The Real World (Un-Gyve Press). Jorge Moya, Cuba Art NY will present along with the artist and publisher. Ofill Echevarría, Cuban-American painter and multimedia artist captures realistic images from urban life 'that explore the world beneath and beyond the surface in a dynamic dialogue with the soul'. Ofill Echevarría was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1972 and made his debut as a member of the Arte Calle (Street Art) Group in 1988, before graduating from the legendary San Alejandro Academy, in 1991. The following year he moved to Mexico, where he lived until 2002. He currently lives and works in New York. The Gabarron Foundation - Carriage House Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization and an exclusive international center specializing in art exhibitions and other cultural activities. Its main objective is the promotion of Culture, making this multicultural space a reference in the City of New York. Since 2002 the Carriage House has aspired to be an excellent platform for the propagation of Hispanic culture in the United States. This organization promotes exchange and understanding between cultures, providing a space for interaction and enhanced appreciation of emerging and established cultural figures from a diverse palette of countries.
