Descripción de la Exposición

"El camino" Inauguración de Manuel Barbero en la Galería Blanca Soto. Día 25 de octubre de 19 a 22h. Del 25 de octubre al 29 de noviembre de 2017. Manuel Barbero presenta sus últimas obras en las que, recurriendo a su característico uso del simbolismo, el eclecticismo y lo literario, recrea un territorio íntimo y personal. El camino es un recorrido por las esquinas de nuestra propia historia; la real, la posible, la improbable o la inexistente. Una historia sin detalles, sin descripciones, abierta a poder ser protagonizada por cualquiera o a no tener protagonista. El camino es una vereda abierta a través del bosque de los acontecimientos en la que el caminante cada vez se va haciendo más consciente, dentro de la sabiduría que el propio polvo de la senda otorga, de que se va a quedar en ese camino; de que ese camino es principio y fin en sí mismo. Lo simbólico adquiere la forma de lo cotidiano, lo accidental, lo fugaz, lo aprendido, lo construido, lo abandonado... cimentando una escalera por la que se sube a los distintos niveles de conocimiento que vamos adquiriendo al andar. Lo ecléctico se apodera de sueños, paisajes y objetos y los hace bailar al ritmo de diferentes materiales y estilos en la gran verbena de lo imprevisible. Manuel Barbero presents his latest works in which, resorting to his characteristic use of symbolism, eclecticism and literary, recreates an intimate and personal territory. “The road” (El Camino), it is a journey through the corners of our own history; the real, the possible, the improbable or nonexistent. A story without details, without descriptions, opens to being able to be carried out by anyone or to have no protagonist. “The road” (El Camino), it is an open path through the forest of events in which the walker is becoming more aware, within the wisdom that the dust of the path itself gives, that it is going to stay on that path; that this way is a beginning and an end in itself. The symbolic acquires the form of the everyday, the accidental, the fleeting, the learned, the constructed, the abandoned ... cementing a ladder by which it rises to the different levels of knowledge that we are acquiring when walking. The eclectic takes over dreams, landscapes and objects and makes them dance to the rhythm of different materials and styles in the great verbena of the unpredictable.
