Francisco Caso del Corro (KSO) develops an artistic work that goes from performance to video creation and painting, highlighting especially in the category of oil portrait, modality in which he was selected and awarded in different calls at local, regional and national level.
His pictorial work has been awarded in different national competitions, highlighting among others the Astragal Prize obtained in the call for artistic projects promoted in 2010 by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the Principality of Asturias through the Culturaqui program, and the National Prize of Art of Luarca of 2008; In addition to being selected, among others, in the VI National Contest of Plastic Arts "Miradas" convened by the Jorge Alió Foundation of Alicante.
He participates in numerous exhibitions and artistic events, highlighting among others those held in Sala LAi (Gijón). Its participation in the meeting of surrounding art is also remarkable intimacy and the exhibition...presented in April 2008 at the CMAE, and in informArte exhibition and art meeting commemorating the XXV anniversary of the Humanities Campus of the University of Oviedo.
Since 2003 he regularly teaches painting at the Jovellanos Paintings Academy and the Athenaeum of La Calzada in Gijón, in Northern Spain. He studied Higher Technician in Engraving and Stamping Techniques at the Oviedo School of Arts.
He was born and resides in the Principality of Asturias, in Gijón, Spain.
