Descripción de la Exposición

"To draw means, besides creating a drawing, pulling something out. A drawer is the recipient for that movement. There is no mystery in this coincidence. The present series of drawings, which is part of a larger collection, takes place in this ambiguity: something is pulled out from the visual memory or from the imagination of pop culture; something is drawn from the page, which turns into a receiver and a container of meanings waiting to be opened and draw the interpretation of the viewer." Nuno Viegas, 2014 Nuno Viegas, born in 1977, is a Berlin based painter from Portugal. His work has been exhibited regularly since 2001 in Lisbon and Madrid. His paintings and drawings consist in the depiction of scenes, shown many times through a humorous veil, where daily life and fiction share the same context and explore the possibilities of the absurd.
