Descripción de la Exposición
It was almost a year ago that Carolina Convers began developing her latest works, when she found herself stricken by the lockdown. Different images began to come up: dresses, castaways, several figures, some that didn't even go with each other, mainly because of the state of mental dispersion in which the artist found herself at the time of creation. Among these images are barefoot women who sit beside their shoes, alluding to the fact that we all had to get off our shoes during this time. It was a moment of pause; our lives were suddenly brought to a halt as our social and work-related activities were suspended.
The artist felt disperse, something that many of us can probably say occurred. It was because of this that she began meditating, realizing how difficult it is, often feeling overwhelmed by several thoughts and ideas that she couldn't control, and this is something that is evident in the artwork.
“Disperse” will consist of approximately 20 paintings in different sizes, and will open Saturday, January 23, 2021. It will be open to the public through Friday, February 19.
