Descripción de la Exposición

Puerto-Rican born Ivelisse Jiménez creates works whose inherent characteristics are simultaneity, contraction and uncertainty. With the two dimensional as the base camp, she ventures out to investigate various permutations of abstraction. Her pieces are light and precise constructions made from multiple forms of diverse and ephemeral materials adapted to respond to the installation space. The results are visually buoyant meditations on the perception and the nature of illusion.
