Descripción de la Exposición

The Colombian artist, based in Mexico, will be presenting his solo show “Dario Ortiz” at the Coral Spring Museum of Art from September 14th - November 9th. Ortiz, is known for his impressive self-portraits and figurative paintings inspired by the renaissance movement, were the human figure is the center of his inspiration. His works are defined by a classic aura nevertheless coexisting in a contemporary world. As the artists states “Painting figurative today is an act of rebellion and contemporary art is done by the rebels”. Though he is self-taught artist, Dario Ortiz has participated in numerous international exhibits and is represented by important galleries, such as Duque Arango Gallery.
