Descripción de la Exposición

“Contemplação Particular” (Private Contemplation) is the given title to the polyptych presented in this project. It is part of a core of the author´s work, developed based on the reading of Tempatations of Saint Anthony (Gustave Flaubert), among others that were forming a base of the study of the erotic, the religious, aesthetic and philosophical thinking, where the body and its sexuality have a strong presence. The architectural project was born of a need imposed by the scale of the painting. The painting should have its own space, a space that would allow its contemplation, to alloud the viewer to have its own experience. A place that was not the conventional gallery or museum spaces, but a place closer to the public spaces of seclusion and introspection. The architect who designed the “Delubro” is Maria Eduarda Souto de Moura. The polyptych allows its visualization in three different positions. In order to the experience to be really unique, the composer António Celso Ribeiro, composed a musical moment that accompanies the work.
