Descripción de la Exposición

Galeria Luisa Strina presents 'Coleções 10', an exhibition that began in 2000, curated by Nessia Leonzini. The exhibition consists of works featuring photographs with a high print run. The Coleções series, considered a pioneer project in Brazilian photography and contemporary art, has the objective of increasing public interest in photography in Brazil and forming new collectors. Over 100 Brazilian and foreign artists, some established and others emerging, have participated in Coleções. This edition features 23 artists who also work with other media and represent different perspectives. They use a pictorial vocabulary inspired by objects and situations from day-to-day life or determined by a personal artistic outlook. The spirit of Coleções is defined by the involvement of the artists who produce specific works for the project and make it possible to purchase artworks at an affordable price. The artists participating in Coleções 10 are: Matheus Rocha Pitta, Marcos Chaves, Pedro Motta, Marepe, Rosângela Rennó, Rochelle Costi, Alexandre da Cunha, Marcos Vilas Boas, Fernando Lazslo, Alice Quaresma, Laura Belém, Maria Laet, Luiza Baldan, Arnaldo Antunes, Cinthia Marcelle, Vicente de Mello, Maria Nepomuceno, Marcia Xavier, Omar Salomão, Marcius Galan and Douglas Freitas, Jarbas Lopes, Thiago Honório and Cao Guimarães.
