Descripción del Premio
To be held in Hyderabad in June-July, the first and 2017 edition of Artist- In- Residency has been conceived as a one month residency for aspiring performance artists from relevant genres, with a program which includes classes, workshops, lectures, discussions on how to collaborate with artists from different genres and will culminate with residents creating new performances concentrated towards children.
A.I.R 2017 edition includes the following components:
1. An intense program of workshops with experienced practitioners.
2. Discussion time and feedback session.
3. Final sharing of performances. (final performance of art pieces)
Note: Residents will be creating new pieces during A.I.R 2017.
Who can Apply?
If you are a dancer/choreographer/theater practitioner/performance artists who loves to work for children;
looking for a safe environment to challenge your working methodologies;
who thinks it would benefit them from exchanging ideas and receiving inputs on performance-making from peers and experienced artists in the field;
want to engage in an intense dialogue about performance making; criticality;
looking for a space to identify and articulate some of the possible starting points in terms of your interests as an artist;
would like to get feedback on how to work with artists from different genre;
then, A.I.R 2017 may be is for you.
What will A.I.R2017 provide:
A weekly allowance of Rs.3000/- will be given to the residents. Provision of experienced practitioners who are very talented in the field to get the best out of the artists. Studio space and mid day meals during the residency.
What will A.I.R2017 not provide:
Health Insurance: The residents have to arrange and pay for their own health insurance during the period of the residency. Nritya will not be liable for any medical costs. However, there will be a first aid box at hand for basic injuries.
Accommodation: A.I.R2017 will not provide accommodation to any resident. However, the Nritya team can suggest some convenient accommodation for the duration of residency for outside residents. Nritya will not pay for this.

There are five places to be filled on this residency. Your application will be accesed with the help of evaluators and mentors. Short listed applicants will be notified via email and a telephonic interview will be held with them.
Successful applicants will be informed by email or telephone by 28 May 2017. All decisions of the selection committee are final and binding.
