Descripción de la Exposición
Del 23 al 30 de abril de 2021 se podrá disfrutar de la exposición Akiko Nakayama: ‘Alive Painting’ comisariada por Alejandra Rodríguez Cunchillos en el Museo Virtual MIAANYWHERE de MIA ART COLLECTION.

Las barreas existentes entre las diferentes disciplinas artísticas se han ido diluyendo en los últimos tiempos. A este hecho, debemos sumarle la irrupción de la tecnología y otras ciencias que cruzan sinergias con las diferentes propuestas de los artistas y nos permiten ahondar en otro tipo de experiencias. Es así como surge ‘Alive Painting’, las performances de la artista japonesa Akiko Nakayama.
Generalmente, la pintura se ha presentado en un estado físico sólido y seco, pero ¿Podríamos encontrarla viva? ¿Cómo si fuera un ser vivo en el que presenciáramos su metamorfosis? Esta transformación es lo que nos plantea la obra de de Akiko Nakayama.
Además, si tenemos en cuenta que, en el shintoismo (religión animista originaria de Japón) se otorga alma y consciencia propia a diferentes elementos, podemos entender el porqué de esta intención.
Así pues, a partir de un trabajo minucioso, como si de un investigador de laboratorio se tratara, los diferentes materiales que va fusionando y otros factores externos como: el viento, el sonido, la humedad, la gravedad o el tiempo…configuran estas imágenes abstractas que, se presentan como una metáfora de varios aspectos de la naturaleza. Mediante el uso de colores, la fluidez, la resonancia entre formas y las diferentes texturas, intenta celebrar la belleza de la vida y su carácter efímero.
Asimismo, la artista Akiko Nakayama de igual forma que expone el haiku (tipo de poema japonés) con el que comenzaba el texto, vuelca su pasión y visión más pura de la naturaleza, de la vida y sus sentimientos en sus trabajos. Este haiku, fue escrito por una de las autoras más célebres de este género poético, Chiyo (Kaga, Japón, 1703-1775). Podemos ver cómo siglos después, el arte continúa siendo un vehículo de comunicación para manifestar la feminidad, la delicadeza, pero también la fuerza de una mujer, como la de una violeta silvestre.

The existing barriers between the different artistic disciplines have been diluted in recent times. To this fact, we must add the irruption of technology and other sciences that cross synergies with the different proposals of artists and allow us to delve into other types of experiences. This is how the performances of the Japanese artist Akiko Nakayama came about 'Alive Painting'.
Generally, the painting has been presented in a solid and dry physical state, but could we find it alive? As if it were a living being in which we would witness its metamorphosis? This transformation is what Akiko Nakayama’s work raises for us.
Furthermore, if we take into account that, in Shintoism (animist religion originating in Japan), soul and conscience are given to different elements, we can understand the reason for this intention.
Thus, from a meticulous work, as if it were a laboratory researcher, the different materials that are merging and other external factors such as: wind, sound, humidity, gravity or time... shape these abstract images, which are presented as a metaphor for various aspects of nature. By using colors, fluidity, resonance between shapes and different textures, she tries to celebrate the beauty of life and its ephemeral character.
Also, the artist Akiko Nakayama, in the same way that she exposes the haiku (type of Japanese poem) with which the text began, overturns her passion and purest vision of nature, of life and its feelings in her works. This haiku was written by one of the most famous authors of this poetic genre, Chiyo (Kaga, Japan, 1703-1775). We can see how centuries later, art continues to be a vehicle of communication to manifest femininity, delicacy, but also the strength of a woman, like that of a wild violet.
