Descripción de la Exposición Marking the sixth anniversary of the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, we will host a tribute to commemorate and remember the appalling events that took place. Visitors will be warmly received and greeted at our building at 172 Norfolk Street, which carries a significant historical meaning, as it was a distinguished synagogue in the past. Attendees will be asked to participate in an evocative, poetic performance to commemorate the death of thousands of people 10 years ago. A container with pebbles will be available for visitors to take one and place it on the entrance stairs of the Foundation. A symbolic, silent gesture with roots in many religious traditions that is aimed at bringing people together in a day devoted to remembrance. A multidisciplinary art installation, inspired by the consistent inventiveness of artist Angel Orensanz's previous work, will be displayed both inside the building and outdoors in the stately façade. Video projections, sculptures and sound installation will give form and express the variety of feelings that this Memorial Day involves. Guided by the notions of memory and mourning, but also contemplation and hope in the future, the Angel Orensanz Foundation invites you to visit us and have a one of a kind experience.
