Descripción de la Exposición

For the September exhibition at ŻAK | BRANICKA, we are proud to present 3/1/1, a cooperation between three international artists of the same generation: Marlena Kudlicka, Diogo Pimentão and Ignacio Uriarte (Spain, b.1972). The show will revolve around a sort of relay race where, interconnected by their common references to the world of industry and design and an ever-present mathematical order, each artist picks up the baton and creates his or her own set of works. Kudlicka begins by merging sculpture and language in her elegant iron sculptures, free standing or hanging on walls held by minimal points of support. Uriarte follows, capturing that same language and turning it into drawings (either on paper or in three-dimensions) that in his turn, Pimentão will work until those drawings are again sculptures, turning a full circle.
