Descripción del Artista

He lives and works in Reykjavik, Iceland. Ragnar Kjartanson s experimental artistic practice is rooted in the tradition of acting and performance. His works are characterised by the tragic drama of humanity, where sorrow clashes with joy, fear with beauty and theatre with comedy. Kjartansson has had countless international exhibitions and represented Iceland at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009. In 2013 integrated the curatorial team of GIBCA - Göteborg Intenational Biennial for Contemporary Art.
