Descripción del Premio ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- During July and August, five resident artists will work together within Project Space Pantocrator room, which becomes an open spaces studio. Artists can work in any medium they desire, from painting, collage, video, digital art or sculpture to the transformation of their study in an installation or operation of the area. The gallery is open at its usual time for artists to get a greater exposure of their work and interaction with the public. Pantocrator Project Space will provide postcards, press releases, a page on the Pantocrator Project website, a group exhibition at the end of the residency and a list of photos guide. Cost: Applicants agree to pay a rental fee of 350 euros per month. Participants range from students, local artists who need temporary studio space, or artists from around the world interested in creating and exhibiting in Shanghai. The beneficiaries of the residence will be notified to make your reservation from 300 euros to discount the first month (July 2012). The accommodation is not included. Recommendation for accommodation for the artists coming from outside of Shanghai will be provided if requested.
Los artistas residentes son los siguientes: José Manzanares (Linares, Jaén), Denize Treizman (Santiago de Chile, Chile, 1979 - reside en Nueva York), David Jacob (Nueva York) y Chi Zhang (Shanghai - reside en Nueva York). Los artistas residentes de Shanghai, al igual que los de Barcelona, tendrán una estancia los meses de Julio y Agosto 2012 y realizán una exposición final el día 25 de agosto. Al igual que en Barcelona la galería esta abierta en horario comercial y se puede ver el work in progress de los artistas, los cuales ya están empezando a tener obra terminada que van exponiendo en su espacio. Durante todo el año ambas galerías siempre tienen un espacio reservado para acoger a un artista residente.
